Mixing 5.1 · 7.1 · Atmos
An acoustically treated mixing room with Genelec monitoring on Pro Tools Ultimate.

An acoustically treated mixing room with Genelec monitoring on Pro Tools Ultimate. Premix and final mix in stereo, surround, 5.1, 7.1 and Dolby Atmos.
Every mix is delivered to the loudness and QC standards required by cinema and global platforms.
Premix and final mix
First, dialogue, effects, Foley, ambiences and music are balanced separately (premix). In the final mix the storytelling decisions are made with the director: what is heard, when and from where.
Formats
We mix in stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 and in immersive formats for cinema and platforms, always on calibrated monitoring. The international M&E track and the stems that distributors and platforms ask for come out of the same session.
A mix for every screen
A film for theaters is not mixed like a streaming series or a TV spot. We adjust dynamic range and loudness to the destination and check the mix on different playback systems.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a stereo and a 5.1 mix?
- Stereo uses two channels (left and right). 5.1 adds a center channel, two surrounds and a subwoofer, and it is the basis of most deliveries for cinema and streaming platforms.
- Do you deliver the international track (M&E)?
- Yes. We build the M&E, the mix without dialogue used for dubbing into other languages, together with the final mix.
- Can the director attend the mix?
- Yes, and we recommend it. The room is set up for sessions with the director and producers, and the studio has a lounge and a kitchen for long days.
- Do you mix projects edited somewhere else?
- Yes. We take sessions or AAFs from any editing system and do just the mix, or the mix plus the editing before it.
